Job Description
Job Purpose:
Responsible for companys overall IT hardware and software. Completes IT projects by evaluating project feasibility; establishing, developing, implementing and controlling project plans; supporting operations. Enhances enterprise operations by recommending, and implementing new technology systems and applications; identify inadequate, inefficient/ineffective internal controls; recommend improvements.

Position & Company:
This position is for a private manufacturer with four production plants. We are a progressive company with a positive working environment. This position is located at their Corporate Headquarters in the Columbus, Ohio area. You must relocate to this area or be in commuting distance. Report to the CFO.

The ideal candidate will be excellent in business systems implementation and have experience working for a manufacturing company, administrating an enterprise wide, multi-facility client/server ERP system. Responsible for training, establishing/implementing new systems applications (e.g., quoting, scheduling), data accuracy and security, establishing IT plan and budget. Ideal candidate will have background in Infor Visual Manufacturing Suite, Crystal Reports, EDI and SQL on an Oracle database. Experience with Desktop support, security/telephone systems is essential. Must have excellent communications skills. Must be team player.

Duties:
* Recommends Information Technology strategies by studying enterprise strategies, plans, assumptions, directions, objectives, and operations.

* Upgrades Information Technology by expediting implementations, establishing standards; resolving conflicts.

* Maximizes use of Information Technology by educating departments in equipment and software capabilities and applications.

* Recommends Information Technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifies problems; evaluates trends; provides opinions, concepts, and recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

* Completes projects by coordinating resources and schedules with user departments.

* Verifies application results by conducting system audits.

* Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control procedures.

* Be able to deal with all levels of personnel.
