4 MONTH TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT BEGINNING MID-APRIL!

Summary:

This position is responsible for being an extension of the Life Sciences Sales force and enhancing the customer experience, (internal and external) of the end-to-end order cycle process. The Sales Coordinator manages assigned sales territories and supports Key Accounts including, but not limited to: pharmaceutical, biotech, research or other customer base outside of a clinical setting, throughout the Continental United States and Latin American Countries using detailed coordination and communication, and serving as the primary liaison for sales order support, technical information, returns, logistics and schedule planning. Incumbent works directly with end users, distributors, sales, marketing, planning and logistics to optimize sales efficiencies and deliver world-class sales and customer support.


Essential Job Functions:


1. Process purchase orders/contracts using the Oracle order management system.
These activities include: bid management, quoting, order entry, Oracle order maintenance, submittal coordination, pre-post order factory coordination, change order processing, scheduling coordination of FAT/install, and contract review to minimize or eliminate risk to Corporation. Ensure compliance to Sarbanes Oxley, as well as, corporate rules and regulations. Resolve Contract/PO issues working directly with customer and internal departments.
2. Ownership of the bid process, including but not limited to, the distribution of the bid, technical and commercial section review, pricing assistance/authorization (gross-margin analysis), completion and distribution of bid per specific instructions. All bids are “time-sensitive”.
3. Specialized order management such as reserve, standing, and made-to-order requests, are required to insure compliance with Pharmaceutical GMP requests and prevent customer shut downs. Sales coordinator must work with various internal departments to assure that specific validated products are manufactured, stored, shipped and delivered as requested. Most contracts between STERIS and GMP customer include liquidated damages. Damages could be in excess of $1M a day if Sales Coordinator is responsible for shutting a customer down.
4. Maintaining sound customer relations through timely responses to customer inquires via accurate and timely communication. Evaluate non-routine complaints from customers, follow through to determine source of complaint, and take appropriate action to ensure that problems are corrected and do not recur.
5. Maintain and manage backlogs per territory, assuring ship dates are being met, process/credit holds are being released, backorders are being communicated to customer, and FOB terms are being adhered to.
6. Serve as field sales backup during sales representative absence for assigned territory. Sales Coordinator is allowed decision making empowerment, such as providing quotes, releasing equipment to manufacturing, expediting shipment, etc, on a case-by-case basis.
7. Manage all phone calls, either through queue or direct contact, ensuring the highest quality customer experience, and handling inquiries on the “first pass” eliminating continuous customer transfers.
8. Provide a high level of detailed management of RMAs (Return Material Authorization) assuring that returns are not only processed in a timely manner, but following through the entire process, from pick up to delivery into a STERIS site. Each Account Coordinator is empowered to correct or satisfy Customer concerns. Empowerment level is $10,000 per situation.
9. Train peers, provide back-up to teammates as needed, give presentations as necessary, and complete assigned MBOs as identified by department manager. Complies with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies. His/her attitude and behavior reinforce company policies and programs by exhibiting and expecting the highest standards of performance and professional conduct. Undertakes and defines a program of self-development.
10. Handle other duties and responsibilities as are periodically assigned or requested.

Education/License Requirements:
Four year degree in business management preferred; 3 -5 years practical experience considered in lieu of degree.

Job Requirements:
*Fluency in Spanish.
• Previous experience in sales/account support preferred
• Accounting, contract, sales, telemarketing and/or marketing knowledge helpful
• Computer experience in use of spreadsheets, word processing, project management tools, database systems a must
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of Company personnel and clients
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced often changing environment with the ability to coordinate tasks with prioritization
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail a must
