Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of business development efforts for Technology Solutions, including marketing, sourcing, bid and proposal, and closing.
Establish capture teams and manage all aspects of the sales capture process.
Develop, maintain and expand positive and strong client relationships, leading to follow-on work.
Establish and maintain contact with OPM/TMA project managers including regular on-site visits.
Direct all business development activities as assigned by VP.
Develop marketing plans and new business opportunities.
Develop proposals, work plans, schedules, and implementation strategies.
Identify obstacles to implementation and develop strategies to overcome.
Required Elements:
Proven track record of significant sales exceeding $1M annually in Federal sector and/or combination of Federal and commercial sectors.
10+ years experience in business development in Federal sector, including responding to comprehensive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and preparing and presenting oral Task Order Competitions (TOCs).
Broad knowledge and experience working with Federal contract vehicles and the government contracting process.
Experience with full enterprise software sales cycle in the performance management domain - Products like Success Factors, Saba, ePerformance (Peoplesoft/Oracle), Softscape.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with officials at all levels in government and industry.
Core demonstrated competencies to include: impact and influence, organizational awareness, relationship building, team leadership and results orientation.
Ability to develop actionable plans and methods for achieving agreed to business targets.
Strong problem solving capabilities and the ability to visualize and communicate solutions.
Desired Elements:
Knowledge of OPM's TMA work acquisition process
Experience selling large scale IT projects.
