JAVA LEAD DEVELOPER Job in Chicago Illinois (IL)

We are looking to a Java Lead Developer to work on the trading support tools and systems within this organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building complex web applications, preferably using Java and related technologies, with heavy emphasis on service level programming. The candidate will be able to quickly come up to speed on a large existing code base, and be able to contribute with little direct oversight.

This trading firm is a fast growing retail brokerage that is looking for bright candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit. Previous experience in the financial services marketplace is a plus, as well as familiarity with reporting and business process management tools.

Job Requirements:
. 5+ years of Solid Java experience.
. Java SE 1.5 experience.
. Must have been a team lead, managing small project teams.
. Must have worked with high transaction, high availability, distributed systems, with parallel processing.
. Working knowledge of ORM solutions (ie: Hibernate, JPA, TopLink, EclipseLink).
. Client / Server development skills.
. Working knowledge of SQL (specifically Oracle and PL/SQL)
. Basic knowledge of HTML.
. Ability to write code from scratch.
. Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux based systems.
. Skill in developing for a multi-processor multi-threaded system.
. Strong analytic and problem solving skills a must.

Must have a solid stable job history.
