Develop and maintain applications and data bases for the Financial or Human Resource departments to support the Oracle Financial Suite or Peoplesoft HRMS systems. Maintain and revise existing systems considering both hardware and software issues when developing new systems or expanding existing ones.
Analyze, design and develop technical solutions including adding new functionality, customization and interface development within established standards to meet business requirements and minimize risks. Program the computer by encoding project requirements in computer language and/or entering coded information into the computer. Confirm program operation by conducting tests and modifying program sequence and/or codes.
Troubleshoot production problems and implement effective long term solutions. Update existing programs either to correct errors or provide enhanced functionality. Write and maintain documentation describing program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections. Keep equipment operational by calling for repairs, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, and evaluating new equipment.
Prepare system design, analysis, project management, end user training and SOX documentation. Conduct end-user training for existing and new system features. Follow established quality methods and procedures. Ensure that products, applications, and systems are in compliance with established quality standards. Analyze best-in-class processes, understand the interaction and relationship of business operations and operating systems and network processes.
Create and execute test plans to fully test functionality and reliability of the system under development. Collaborate with others to test and resolve issues with deliverables. Recommend solutions and appropriate technology to meet client needs. Provide technical support to co- workers and clients.
Assist in system upgrades, lead data mapping and conversion programming to include drill downs in order to provide data in usable formats for end user. Design, develop, test and install system interface programs. Install and test vendor software applications and programs.
4+ years of PeopleSoft HCM/Payroll/Benefits/Commitment technical development and design experience.
Functional understanding of key processes in HR, Payroll, and Benefits Administration is desirable
Collaborate with the implementation team (Business Analysts, testers, developers and administrators).
PeopleSoft 9x experience.
Proficiency in Oracle 11g or higher is required.
Proficient with Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools, such as, PeopleCode/iScript, Application Engine, Component Interface & Integration Broker, BI Publisher, etc.
Able to work with many programming tools such as; PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Integration Broker, Component Interface, SQR, SQL, PS Query, Application Engine, XML Publisher, BPEL, and other programming tools.
Assist implementation team on functional testing, unit testing, system testing and end user acceptance testing.
Work as a part of team in providing production support.
BS or MS in Computer Science preferred.
Strong problem solving experience.
Excellent verbal skills, including conducting/leading business meetings on technical issues.
Assist in planning production roll-out and deployment related activities.
Create and maintain documentation and standards.
Create and maintain thorough and complete technical documentation of all ERP PeopleSoft customizations and reports.
