Job Description

The Oracle Supply Chain Technical Manager's role is to provide leadership for technical development team for implementation and support of Oracle Applications. The individual will posses knowledge in the Oracle toolset and Application framework. He/She will work with the team to establish development standards, manage reporting, data migration, enhancements, testing and integration development. The individual will lead technical efforts and provide guidance for solution design with internal and external systems in the supply chain and manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
- Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices
- Actively engage business management to ensure business needs are met
- Ensure a detailed succession plan is in place for both individuals and skills to ensure sufficient staff depth is in place to meet the needs of the business
Acquisition & Deployment
- Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications
- Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality
- Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
- Design, develop, and install application enhancements and upgrades
- Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings
- Contribute to pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations
- Negotiate contracts with software and service providers
- Liaise with company's software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.Operational Management- Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations
- Liaise with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing
- Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding contracts/agreements
- Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-related activities
- Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications

Knowledge & Experience
• 10-12+ years IT experience
• At least 5 years direct experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) and/or related systems
• Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions, especially in an international / global environment.
• Extensive experience with ERP (Oracle applications) and databases.
• Experience providing technical leadership for architecture design, code reviews, and establishing standards
• Understands and modifies the Application Configuration as required (includes system setups, flex-fields, workflow builder, custom library, profile options etc.)
• Guides technical team in developing reports, conversions, interfaces, extensions for Oracle EBS
• Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
• Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
• Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Education Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Masters degree in Computer science or Business preferred.
